Real estate is personal. Your website should be, too.

People search Zillow for a house. They come to you for a relationship. Make a great first impression with a personal real estate website that builds trust, connect, and word of mouth referrals.

People don’t just buy houses.

They buy trust, expertise, and peace of mind during one of life's biggest decisions. The typical agency-assigned site doesn’t communicate how well you understand a potential client’s:

  • Fear of making the wrong choice

  • Anxiety about the process

  • Dreams of finding the perfect home

  • Stress about buying or selling in tough market

In an industry where relationships matter, give them a reason to choose you with a personal website that invites them into a relationship — not a transaction.

Build deeper relationships & a stronger business with a personal real estate website.

Because when they know you they’ll choose you — and tell everyone else about you, too.

Eye-Catching Design

Create “oohs” and “ahhs” like a well-staged home with a website that’s beautifully designed, clutter-free, and feels like home.

Conversational Copy

Establish trust with website copy that feels like a comfortable chat with a friend, not a slick sales pitch.

Strategic Foundation

Stand out online by focusing on your client's specific challenges with the help of story-driven messaging and structure.

FAQ’s about working with StoryMatters

  • Your agency assigned website is great for searching for homes and validating your association with an agency.

But, it falls far short of helping prospective clients choose you.

I have yet to see an agency site that is fully customizable to match your one-of-a-kind personality, skills, experience, and relational ability.

They are usually visually lacking and often hard to navigate.

If you want a way to peak the interest of perspective clients and have a place to proudly send them, a personal website is a must.

  • 1 - 4 page websites are perfect. Single page sites are great for new agents. It’s just enough to get you online fast and affordably when you’re just starting out. You can add pages later.

Seasoned agents with a few sales under their belt might opt for a 4 pages site — dedicated pages to Buyer, Sellers, and adding a more robust About page that highlights industry success.

  • Because of the complex nature and potential technical issues of the integration between agency search engines and Squarespace, we do not directly integrate your site with the MLS or any other platform.

We’ve found that creating a direct link from your personal website to your agency assigned website works well.

Often, we simply create a “carousel” of homes recently sold or purchased you can easily update on your own.

Remember, if people wanted to search for a house, they can use Zillow! They’re coming to you for a relationship.

  • With 30 years of coaching experience, I quickly capture the essence of your brand and turn your words into clear, concise copy. You are unique, I’ll uncover that and find just the right words that feel just like you.

  • We’ve designed dozens of sites for happy clients in a single day — and that’s how we’ll build yours, too.

    Here’s how it works:

Use our simple Prep Guide to provide info and gather text, photos, and preferences about your design.

Then, we meet for a 60-90 minute Review + Copy Session to capture your website copy.

Your Design Day includes 3 meetings about 45 minutes each, with live edits.

Typical Schedule (shorter for 1-page sites):

    • 9am: Review your homepage and set the direction of interior pages

    • 12pm: Review progress and edits

    • 3pm: Final edits and site handoff

Your site is ready to launch when you are!

  • The visual design is beautiful and it’s easy for you to make edits once your build is complete.

If you have a site on another platform or on an older version of Squarespace, we’d be happy to upgrade, refresh, or redesign your site from scratch.

  • StoryBrand is proven marketing framework developed by Donald Miller that helps businesses clarify their message by using principles of storytelling to connect with their audience.

The core idea is to position the customer as the hero of a story and the business as their guide. StoryBrand aims to simplify and clarify a company’s messaging, so people immediately understand how the business can solve their problems and improve their lives.

Here are the seven key steps in the StoryBrand framework:

    1. A Character – The story begins with a hero, who is the customer, not the brand. This step defines the target customer and clarifies what they want or need.

    2. Has a Problem – Every hero faces a challenge or problem. StoryBrand categorizes these into external (practical), internal (emotional), and philosophical (value-driven) problems that the brand’s product or service addresses.

    3. Meets a Guide – In this narrative, the business becomes the guide who understands the customer’s problem and can help them succeed. The guide demonstrates empathy and authority to build trust with the hero.

    4. Who Gives Them a Plan – The guide offers a clear, simple plan to help the hero achieve their goal or overcome the problem. This could be a step-by-step process, a checklist, or a road map.

    5. Calls Them to Action – This involves motivating the hero to take the next step, which could be purchasing a product, scheduling a call, or signing up for a newsletter. A strong call to action is critical for guiding customers forward.

    6. Helps Them Avoid Failure – StoryBrand emphasizes the stakes by clarifying what negative outcomes the customer can avoid by using the product or service, underscoring the consequences of inaction.

    7. Ends in Success – Finally, the story concludes with a clear picture of the success the customer will experience if they choose to engage with the brand. This helps customers envision how the product or service will improve their lives.
